SRCC is bringing back the pre-pandemic Weekend Warmup series. These are regular Saturday rides with start times, locations and routes provided below. There is no official ride leader, but if you are interested in leading and/or have a different route in mind, please email the Ride Director. Otherwise, regular routes provided below.

Participants are expected to print and bring their own route slips or download the route into a phone/navigation device. Regroups and coffee stops decided at the beginning of the ride or provided on the route slip. All club ride rules and etiquette apply.

As always, carpooling is encouraged!

These leaderless rides are intended to fill the club ride schedule with more B, BC, and C pace rides. These rides will start from various locations and will be the same as the Tailwinds ride start locations. The rides will vary in elevation, but will usually be around 40-50 miles with occasional regroups. A coffee stop will be noted; however, it will be optional.

The Ride Director will post the ride information, including a RwGPS link and any changes to the location or start time, on the Club Ride Info Forum (see below) usually several days in advance of the ride, but could be as late as Sunday. The Ride Director likes to check the weather and adjust the route based on the weather forecast. If the ride is cancelled, that will also be posted on the forum.

The Santa Rosa Cycling Club is a social/recreational organization comprised of
cycling enthusiasts with a wide range of abilities and interests.

Our purpose is to promote the safe and efficient use of bicycles through club rides and events, and by maintaining an active presence in the local community. We encourage a large and vital membership and try to provide rides for all abilities.

There is a general membership meeting on the second Wednesday of each month.

The formal meeting typically starts at 6:30 pm with club business and calendar notes, followed by a presentation of general interest to cyclists. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6:00 pm for social time and to order food if desired. Members attending for the first time receive a meal and beverage on the Club!

This ride starts at 9am so please be there early and ready to roll at 9am! If you can't be on time, be early; if you can't do either, you will need to catch up.

It is BEST to arrive AT LEAST 20-30 minutes early. Roll call will be at 8:45 AM.

Pre-registration for this ride is required. This ride is for SRCC members only.

Registration will close at midnight the Wednesday before the ride is scheduled.If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration as far in advance as possible (login to the SRCC website, go to the event page, click “already registered,” and then click the button to cancel).

The SRCC will be doing the 11th Annual King Ridge First Timers' Ride - see route below - 50 miles and 5100’ of elevation.

To prepare for this ride, you should ride some 3,000’ - 4000’ climbs with 40-50 miles. You can practice on many local hills: Los Alamos, Cavedale, Trinity, Sonoma Mtn, Lichau, Coleman Valley (either direction), Ft Ross, Sweetwater (either way), Mill Creek, Pine Flat, Geysers, and Pine Mtn, to name a few.

This ride is open to all paces. E-bikes are welcome. The ride leaders will focus on the first timers doing this ride. We expect you first timers to train for this ride; however, one of the ride leaders will lead from behind, so if your pace is slow, so be it.

The ride down Meyers Grade with the view of the coastline never disappoints. Be sure your bike is in good working order: inspect your tires and carry at least one spare tube, along with CO2 cartridges or a pump. We wish to minimize the mechanicals on this ride: more riding and less standing around!

We will have at least one SAG on the course who can provide extra water. Water is available at Ratna Ling, the lunch stop at mile 27.6.

Please only park in the DSI lot (no other surrounding lots) and in designated parking spaces only.

After the ride, PLEASE pedal to the picnic at the warehouse. Vehicle parking at the warehouse is only for picnic volunteers (but it would be great to volunteers to ride there also). If you need to drive to picnic area confirm space availability ahead of time.
