Regulars will recognize this as the Saving Daylight Century, which has marked the beginning of Daylight Saving time for the past five years. This year, the ride moves to a different weekend and has a different name -- but it is still one tough century!

Here's what's in store for those who feel up to the challenge:
Just a few miles from the start, we face a long climb up St Helena Road, the tallest hill of the day. Howell Mountain runs a close second and delivers us to Pope Valley at Mile 30, where we'll make a brief stop to top off water bottles. We then head east to the shores of Lake Berryessa for beautiful views and (more than) a few rollers. We'll coast along smooth pavement on Hwy 128 back to Silverado Trail and Yountville to the lunch stop at Mile 70. Then a gradual yet steady climb up Dry Creek Road before the final assault on Trinity's peak. After that big hill, we'll be looking forward to the final regroup at Mary's Pizza Shack, located across the street from Howarth Park.

This ride travels to remote areas with few opportunities to shortcut the route. Riders should come prepared with plenty of pocket food, cash for the lunch stop, bikes in good working order, supplies for fixing flats, a route slip or good knowledge of area roads, and a cell phone. Bring a change of clothes and stick around for pizza and beer after the ride. Please don't hesitate to contact the ride leader before the ride with any questions.
