Ten years ago, the legendary Marc Moons created the Fearsome Five. Since then, each year in May (with only one year of hiatus, in 2009), he has challenged other fast, fit riders to chase him up five of the toughest climbs in Sonoma County. The route has remained the same -- twice over the Geysers, plus out-&-backs on Pine Mountain, Ida Clayton, and Pine Flat -- and only the players have changed over the years. In 2017, Marc returns to his homeland for an extended vacation, but the Fearsome Five lives on and we'll chase his long-haired spirit all day on May 13th.
