There is street parking in Booneville. Please be respectful of the businesses in town and don't take the most prime spot in front of a business.

This is a hilly and challenging route. Assume this ride will take around 8 hours. please carry two large water bottles and plenty of calories and ensure that your bike is in good condition. The ride is entirely paved.

While not the main attraction, the Booneville-Ukiah road, our first hill of the day, is a really lovely stretch of road. It's a quiet climb with little traffic and a view into the Ukiah valley before the fun descent.

At mile 20 we'll make a brief stop in Ukiah, at the shopping center at the north end of town to fill water and get snacks if needed. Then we head up into the hills. The quiet wooded highlands of Orr Springs/Comptche are a treat. We pass through Montgomery Woods state park and will take a food break at the quirky Comptche general store at mile 50. They accept CASH ONLY. Flynn Creek is another quiet wooded road, our last bump before we are back on Hwy 128. 128 is our highest traffic road of the day, though it's still fairly low traffic with generally considerate drivers. There is sometimes RV or trailered boat traffic and not much shoulder. It's a bucolic road otherwise.

Double your fun by spending the night in Booneville and then joining Sunday's ride. See www.andersonvalley.org for accommodation and camping options.
