An 'out of town' riding adventure. Meet in Berkeley near the Marina Blvd trailhead of the McLaughlin Eastshore State Park. (From Hwy 80, take University Ave and follow signs towards the marina. Make a right on Marina Blvd and look for the trailhead on your right). Plan on 45-60 min drive from Santa Rosa. Please arrive by 9:20 a.m. and be ready to ride at 9:30 a.m. We will review the route, talk about some specific safety measures for this route, including riding on the usually windy bridge, and then roll by 9:40 a.m.

The route follows the Bay Trail to the Vista Point at Yerba Buena Island. From there turn back at the view point or you can take a (bike) shuttle down and back to then island (riding down and back is not recommended). Note that the ride leader will turn back and not shuttle down. After that, we head to Richmond for amazing and authentic Italian pastries at Cafe Gran Milan (www.granmilan.com). From there, we head back to the trail to Richmond and the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park.
