Hwy. 128/Remmel Rd.

One block East of Geyserville Ave. next to RR tracks.

Beautiful Rockpile Road (with excellent pavement conditions and minimal traffic!) climbs from and towers over the great expanse of the brilliant, blue Lake Sonoma!. We'll pass vineyards and pastures certain to abound with lush green grasses and wildflowers and marvel at spectacular views of amazing rock formations along the way!
Weather should be great: start in mid 60's, reach top in mid 70's.

Meet at the Geyserville Park and Ride (Remmel Rd) and ride north out of Geyserville and toward Lake Sonoma with a stop at the Lake Sonoma/Warm Springs Dam Visitor Center (mile 6.5) for a last fill up of water bottles and a restroom break before the 10 mile out and back climb. Rockpile Road is moderately pitched with plenty of opportunity to recover. And the downhill bomb is the bomb!

Bring:   Bike in good working order (check brakes!), helmet, tube repair kit, 2 filled water bottles, sunglasses, snacks, sunscreen, lip balm, lunch money
