SRCC is holding group rides in accordance with the June 5, 2020, Sonoma County health order C19-14: "Stay Well Sonoma County – Order extending Shelter in Place, allowing more businesses to operate in the County, and requiring mitigation measures such as Social Distancing, Face Coverings, and Hygiene Requirements."

Pre-registration for all rides is required as groups must be less than 10 people (not including the leader/leaders). Registration will close at midnight the night before the ride is scheduled.

All registrants, when they register, must acknowledge a COVID-19 Liability Release and that they will comply with the SRCC Covid-19 Compliance Plan. Please read the plan and come prepared (e.g., bring your face covering). Riders that have not signed up online will not be allowed to attend the ride.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration as far in advance as possible (login to the SRCC website, go to the event page, click “already registered,” and then click the button to cancel).

PLEASE arrive at LEAST 10 minutes before the ride start time and be ready to ride at the start time.  It will take a little longer than usual for the ride leader briefing. Those arriving late may not be allowed to ride.

Route Slip

Going up Geysers Rd. to intersection of Geysers Resort Rd, then back. 31 Miles. Approx 2360 feet elevation. Optional coffee stop at Plank at end of ride.

This is an unusual ride, in that it is extremely isolated; goes along Big Sulphur Creek, with beautiful and unique geography that you won't see anywhere else in Sonoma County. Somewhat technical (increasing amount of gravel sections & potholes, and a few spots where road is collapsing into creek).

Regarding climbing difficulty, this is the (relatively) easy part of Geysers Rd ("hard" part starts beyond turnaround point at Geysers Resort Rd.)

No services, high temps expected, bring lots of water.
