Parking: Park on Moscow Rd. on the street in front of Gold Coast Bakery and the rodeo grounds, and also across the bridge over the Russian River going toward Monte Rio.

This ride starts at 9am so please be there early and ready to roll at 9am! If you can't be on time, be early; if you can't do either, you will need to catch up.

It is BEST to arrive AT LEAST 20-30 minutes early. Roll call will be at 8:45 AM.

Pre-registration for this ride is required. This ride is for SRCC members only.

Registration will close at midnight the Wednesday before the ride is scheduled.If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration as far in advance as possible (login to the SRCC website, go to the event page, click “already registered,” and then click the button to cancel).    

The SRCC will be doing the 11th Annual King Ridge First Timers' Ride  - see route below - 50 miles and 5100’ of elevation. 

To prepare for this ride, you should ride some 3,000’ - 4000’ climbs with 40-50 miles.  You can practice on many local hills:  Los Alamos, Cavedale, Trinity, Sonoma Mtn, Lichau, Coleman Valley (either direction), Ft Ross, Sweetwater (either way), Mill Creek, Pine Flat, Geysers, and Pine Mtn, to name a few.

This ride is open to all paces.  E-bikes are welcome.  The ride leaders will focus on the first timers doing this ride. We expect you first timers to train for this ride; however, one of the ride leaders will lead from behind, so if your pace is slow, so be it.

The ride down Meyers Grade with the view of the coastline never disappoints. Be sure your bike is in good working order: inspect your tires and carry at least one spare tube, along with CO2 cartridges or a pump. We wish to minimize the mechanicals on this ride: more riding and less standing around!

We will have at least one SAG on the course who can provide extra water.  Water is available at Ratna Ling, the lunch stop at mile 27.6.

This is not a race and we encourage people to take their time and enjoy the gorgeous scenery that is available throughout the ride. The views are just stunning!
